Wray's Lawn Maintenance

Services

Everything we do —in plain English.

We’ll quote any of these on-site. The price you get is the price you pay — no surprise add-ons, no upsells.

  • Weekly Mowing

Crisp, even cut on the same morning every week — front, back, side yards. Edged borders, walks blown clean before I leave.

Weekly or bi-weekly mowing with sharp blades, mulch-cut by default, bagging on request. I change cut height by season — taller through Richardson summers so the Bermuda holds moisture and never gets scalped, shorter heading into fall. Edged at every visit, walks and drives blown clean before I pull off.

  • Edging & Trimming

Clean, deliberate edges along beds, walks, and drives — and string-trim around fences, posts, and live oaks.

Power-edged borders that stay sharp the full week, careful trim work around obstacles a mower cannot reach (Richardson back yards have a lot of them), and a final pass with the blower so nothing carries over to the patio or street.

  • Weed Eating

Around fences, posts, beds, and the spots the mower deck cannot reach — done by hand, every visit.

String-trim work around obstacles, fence lines, and tight beds. I keep an extra spool on the truck so a snapped line never becomes a skipped corner.

  • Seasonal Cleanups

The big two — leaves, sticks, dead growth out; mulch, edges, and beds reset for the season.

A full-property reset twice a year. Spring: cut back perennials, remove winter debris, edge beds, refresh mulch. Fall: bag the live-oak and red-oak leaves (Richardson gets a lot), blow out beds and gutters from the ground, cut back what wants cutting, prep the lawn for dormancy.

  • Fertilization

Timed feeds that match North Texas Bermuda and St. Augustine — not a one-size-fits-all spray.

Granular feeds applied on the right week of the season, matched to the grass type on your yard. Pre-emergent in late winter, slow-release nitrogen heading into summer, potassium-heavy in the fall to harden the lawn for January cold snaps.

  • Shrub Maintenance

Shape boxwoods, holly, nandina, and the rest — quarterly visits keep them tight without over-cutting.

Hand-shaped shrubs on a quarterly cadence. I prune by plant rather than by calendar — crepe myrtles in late winter, hollies after they flush, boxwoods on demand. No "crepe murder."

  • Tree Trimming

Lower-canopy trim work on the live oaks, red oaks, and crepe myrtles common to Richardson — anything I can reach safely from the ground.

Lower-canopy and small-tree trim work from the ground or short ladder. Anything that needs a lift or climbing gear, I will tell you straight and refer a licensed arborist I trust.

  • Mulch Installation

Hardwood, cedar, or dyed black — installed at the right depth so the beds look fresh through summer.

Bulk-delivered mulch (or bagged, your call), hand-spread to a consistent 2-3 inches around plants and trees with a clean edge against the lawn. I pull last year’s clumped mulch first if it needs it.

Starts at $120 · per visit

Most weekly customers add cleanups, mulch, and the odd hardscape job — there’s usually a flat-rate way to handle that.
